Introduction
The PlayStation 5 is the next PlayStation console that is anticipated to come out in mid-2018 to early 2019; this console will introduce the ninth generation of console gaming, it is without question that the PlayStation 5 is expected to sell well as long as there are loyal gamers. Although there have been rumors regarding the PlayStation 5 and when it is going to make an appearance, it will be a game system worth buying as were its predecessors before it. I can say that the PlayStation 5 is going to introduce a lot of new surprises that will leave gamers wanting more and keep them coming back; Sony always was good about keeping their people happy.
The PlayStation 5 is going to be big, but it might do well if it could introduce unique games for it instead of remastering games like game creators did for the PS4 which was a disappointment. God of War III and Odin Sphere were the only games that should been remastered which they were. Mainly, God of War III did not play well on later PS3 consoles and would freeze up at certain points in the game. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir was a remastered version of the original which made everything and every character in the game unique.
If the PlayStation 5 comes with its own unique games then it’ll definitely outshine the PS4, in my opinion. So hopefully, the game creators will not slack or get lazy about creating games for the system.
Backwards Compatibility
Many gamers, myself included, have felt robbed of backwards compatibility on current generation PlayStation systems. The PS3 had a shot at that with not so great results. The PlayStation 5 should be backwards compatible with games predating back to the PS3. I mean, the PS2 made playing PS1 games possible because of its backwards compatibility which made the PS2 a “still sought out” game system to date.
I think backwards compatibility is a feature that the PlayStation 5 should come with because so gamers enjoyed it on the PS2 and PS3. Plus, it would make the PlayStation 5 a practical household name before it even hits the shelves so Sony will have made hundreds of billions on just adding that feature alone.
Download games to the hard drive
Okay, I can say without a doubt that I love having a game disk collection because I love video games so much. However, lately I’ve been feeling rather oppositional about game disks especially since they’re blue ray which are very sensitive. I said to myself, “When I get a PlayStation 4, I’m downloading all of the games to the hard drive” and I will when that time comes. Incidentally, PlayStation 5 should have all of its game downloaded to the hard drive because as much as I love having a game disk collection, I’d rather have that over having disks.
Downloading games to the PlayStation 5 will be good for gamers because it will alleviate the headache of having to spend hundreds of dollars on replacing their blue ray disk/game which is a headache in itself, from experience. The PlayStation 4 came with a 1 terra byte hard drive which made downloading tons of games not only possible, but easier; gamers have to know that the PlayStation 5 is going to come with more than double the hard drive space.
No overheating issues
The PlayStation 3 was the first game system to consequently introduce the concept of overheating and getting the problem under control took priority for many gamers. Thankfully, the PS4 never had that problem and I assume the PlayStation 5 won’t either. One of my base concerns for the PlayStation 5 was if it was going to overheat if I play it for 14 hours+, I don’t foresee that being an issue.
Conclusion
The PlayStation 5 is going to be a while coming out, but it is expected to be better and more unique than its predecessors as long as it has backwards compatibility, eliminates the need for blue ray disks, have unique games and completely alleviates all overheating issues. Keep your eyes open for more updates on the PS5, I know I will because I know that this system is going to be a game changer.
