Different than the first
Star Wars Battlefront II will be different than the first one; there was introduction of Luke Skywalker in his outfit from Return of the Jedi who turned out to be a NPC (Non-playable character) in Star Wars Battlefront. However, playing as Luke or Darth Vader is possible if you picked up the power up icons depending on who you side with.
In my opinion, it was great to be able to play as two of the most powerful Jedi/Sith to ever exist, but the power up icons did not have a lasting effect so it was difficult to get a handle on one of the characters; the 2015 version of Star Wars Battlefront fixed that thereby making it possible to play as either character.
Star Wars Battlefront II will give players new options to enhance their gameplay and even allow them to play as a signature character from the movies, it will make playing the missions easier; this game is going to be bigger and better than the first one.
New characters
One of the things that I adore about the second Star Wars Battlefront is that it is going to bring in two new characters including a returning one, Kylo Ren and Rey; Luke Skywalker will also make an appearance as a playable character. I am looking forward to this because as any star wars fan will argue, exploring a Jedi or Sith’s force powers is king and exciting.
The Multiplayer mode will also bring a lot of familiar face to the table including Han Solo, Finn and Darth Maul to name a few, it will be a refreshing change of pace for players who will have their choice of many characters in the game so the fun does not end. Also, the story mode will focus on the Force Awakens and the events leading up to it.
I love the fact that Rey and Kylo Ren will be in this game because it’ll be good to see what Rey is capable of as a Jedi being trained by Luke Skywalker; Kylo Ren will put on a good show as well because of his enhanced force powers even Yoda makes an appearance. All in all, players, myself included, will have our hands full trying to get to know these characters’ abilities.
Familiar Places
At this point, it’s safe to assume that a lot of familiar terrain will be making a comeback as well and that includes Queen Aimadala’s very own Theed Palace which is a historical landmark in the Star Wars-verse. The planet Jakku as well as Tatooine will be making a comeback as well. The game is going to have players wandering all over planets and looking at a lot of familiar sites; the game is going to snap, crackle and pop on the PS4.
Conclusion
Star Wars games have been best sellers ever since Super Star Wars for the SNES and they have been doing well ever since. Star Wars Battlefront II will introduce a lot of familiar and unfamiliar places and characters but one thing is certain, gamers will hunger for more and story mode alone will be enough to keep gamers on the edge of their seat.
